A narrative is like a room on whose walls a number of false doors have been painted; while within the narrative, we have many apparent choices of exit, but when the author leads us to one particular door, we know it is the right one because it opens.
The narrative is shifting, local to global.
It is one where we are both observer and participant. . As we enter a new decade, what narrative will emerge?
I do not profess to know. All I I know is I need to participate in, not just observe, its emergence.
We are the authors of the narrative, our own and the common good.
Crafting it requires our attention — and action.
For the door we open is up to us.
